As far as I understand it, the thing is **** near ready. I think Ron and Sled want to be careful about what they say, not wanting to put out a date they can't meet. They are still doing testing with the intake and carb, and I think they are waiting on castings to be made, or somthing along those lines. At the end of last season the 15 that they had running was just a little off of the current 15 Hot Rod(current B class, future 15ss). That will be the first motor available(sometime this racing season I believe). The 20 Sidewinder(future B class), is the same motor with a different carb and block I think, so it should be ready shortly after the 15.
Since I'm on the subject of the B and 15 classes, I want to kind of explain what is going on with the renaming of these classes to all of you who weren't around 20 years ago. When the 15 Hot Rod first came out, it was supposed to be a new A engine. It quickly became apparent that it was to fast for A. So the 15ss class was created. The 20 Hot Rod used to run with the 20H in the B class for years and years. About 15 or so years ago, the B class was done away with, and the 15 was renamed B. So since there is going to be a true B motor, we are going to name these classes what they really are. Alot of the old Hot Rod guys still call their Bs 15s because they aren't really Bs. This actually makes a lot of sense considering that the new B class is going to be formed out of the current 25ssR and 20ssH classes. These classes actually came about the same way 15 did. The old 25ss was supposed to be the new B motor, but it wasn't fast enough. Same deal with the Yamato 80. So kids, thats the story of how Stock Outboard got away from the ABCD class structure, and into the jumbled mess we are now.
Laurie,
I was told about said T-shirt however did not lay eyes on it until after your post and Ryan said "by the way, the T-shirt I'm wearing is actually yours." Would it be proper attire for, say, a wedding perhaps?

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.
