  • Summer can't come soon enough...

...because we sure have a lot of people b!tch!ing lately.

I'm all for free speech and everything this country has to offer, but some of the posts lately are pretty ridiculous.

We've got some guys who want to keep anyone from using the words "Title Series" and others who back them up.

We've got other saying Stock is dead and they wouldn't ever come back to it (guess they don't like competition).

We've got some saying a REAL Mods have megaphones and if a race committee doesn't like it them, then shouldn't put any Mods on the circular. Not sure what there interest is since they no longer race with that sanctioning body.

We've got others complaining about level playing fields in the category is based on level playing fields and complaining about class designations.

We've got some putting down the efforts of others to make a lost cost alternative for the J class.

I guess I've had it with all the negativity. HR is a great site, but anyone new to it would be pretty turned off from boat racing in my opinion if they read too much of this cr@p.

Instead, why don't the ones that p!$$ and moan about everything, step up and find a new race site, become a race official, find some sponsors for your race or even get someone new started or help the rookie in your area. Let's channel some the negativety into a positive outcome!

Time to take a break for a while.

    Positive and Negative...

    Positive...
This forum has all of the communication positives that the web has to offer. We are able to share info, ask for help and discuss issues, both trivial and important on a national scale. I have heard opinoins from racers that I would never have met in the old days. I take it all in and form my own opinions. Like most groups there are idiots, scoundrels and nay sayers on hydroracer, so be it, they have opinions and deserve to be heard. These opinions may be based on experiences you or I haven't had and I for one want to hear them because it help me better understand positions for and against what is being discussed.

    Negative...
My greatest complaint is that the negative message in some posts are being puzzled over by Guest Users on Hydroracer. These are people interested enough in our racing to spend time to see what we are all about. And what do they see? A fair dose of *****ing, posturing, complaining and hairy chested thumping about who's the "real" whatever. Somewhere in the soup of Guests who are antique collectors and useta be racers there are wanna be racers checking us out

I honestly believe that everyone on the site wants to see the sport grow, so don't turn prospective racers off. Think about how an outsider views your post before you click submit, OK?

Best situation would be to be able to have selected threads be "hydroracer member only" for read access. Like I said I want to hear the debate but not air dirty laundy for all to see.

I have had similar thbelieve that discussion

I NEVER put down anyone's efforts, only the B&S outboard itself.

My son runs J, I help any J camp that needs it, right now I'm rebuilding 3 J gearcases.

I'm a race director, and inspector.

PS, I have a small set of safety gear for sale, asking $275 OBO, needs impact added.
