Going way back to the days of "Twin Rivers Boat Club", Homer Kincaid, Kershaw, Seamans... in Carbon Cliff, Illinois, 1940s & 1950s.
George 'Snooks' Green passed away this week. George was on Billy Anderson's race crew working on C-Service Runabouts. Snooks was from Silvis, IL & retired to Clearwater, FL. One year Billy bought a runabout out of Utah and proceeded to roll it on every turn - turns out that boat set the national speed record on the straight-away - it was never meant to turn. Snooks, Billy & the fellas set a couple turn-fins and such and ended up with a pretty darn good boat.
