I'm not smart enuf to find the Ocoee "Role Call". I'm anxious to learn if anyone is planning to show up for an FEH party. It is way too far to go and find out there are no playmates.

I've seen that done on a 102 Yamato (for AOF 102 Mod class), but not on a 4 cylinder Merc....

I'm gitt'n close to a "GO" on Ocoee.............
Before I load trailer, schedule time off from the Post Office, and weld-up a set of good Bayer horns for probably this event only, and ship chambers to Alan for DMH, could I git another show of hands for DMH and FE?........... .....My main reason for come'n down is to help Alan git his first ride in his "Green Monster", Mason/Reed built MJR/Roper.........AND to see George say------"I do"......
If my rig stays on trailer....no big deal.........
Could hold off till Jessup, Ga. / Franklin, Pa. but would like to see Alan run in home state....(plus I want to see the look on his Moms face as he comes down the shoot for the start ! ) .........Extra shorts will be in the o'l 22S trailer.........
Got a trailer hitch on Beth's summer ride and my Crew Chief Archie Lewis will be make'n the trip with me...... IF....... it all comes together...................
Thanks,

I do take a little offense to that. Real Mods were not invited to this race. They were banned. So I think the best thing was to not have any Mods there. I think the majority of Mod folks felt this way to. It stopped many from going.
Nothing against the race organizers, they are limited to what the town will allow. I just think it would be better to have a place where ALL Mods could run, or not put them on the sanction. Just my opinion.
So with that said, I think the Mods said something about only 1 D Mod showing up.........
This is not pointing fingers at anyone, so I am not arguing. Don't tell me to quiet my engines down, there are lots of places to run open pipes, so I am not buying that excuse.
Congratulations to the race organizers for having a show of boats, and a sucessfull race. It is a good place to race.Dave Mason
