  • JH/AXSH/ASH? What gives?

It wasn't 6 months ago people were getting $2000 or more for an OMC motor... Now there are two outfits... both under $2500 that come with everything a person could want including safety gear... One is at $2200 and saying "Make me an offer!"?

What gives? I can't see the OMC being gone for at least 10 years no matter what the SORC does. Even if these motors were a piece of crap they could be rebuilt for a few hunderd bucks...???

    Why arn't they selling?

Simple economics, a years ago people were standing at the front door to buy million dollar homes today a $300,000 home might stay on the market for over 60 to 90 days and gas was not over $3.00 a gallon etc. times change supply and demand folks are hurting in the wallet and if you want out of surplus racing gear you price it to sell sometimes even at a huge lost. I could be way off but times have changed drastically in just the last year for working families. Folks just don't have that surplus cash anymore.

Our prices have dropped from a record high last summer of over $3.50 gallon at some places here on the east coast to an average of about $2.27 for mid grade gas but I think you get my point. 2006 was a rough year on lots of folks and they are just seeing the light of day during the early part of 2007 so my guess is if you want to sell a used hydro or runabout rig fast keep the prices low or at least reasonable.

            Good points

Good points on th OMC stuff. I wonder if people are holding off a little till the new Sidewinder becomes available? Something to think about. Oh yah..In the Seattle area most gas stations are around 2.75 for unleaded. Highest in the country. No idea why.
