My Birthday wish list... (New Racer)

Hi! This is KT again. I just got my OMC 15 hp motor from Ron Hill and Ernie Dawe. I now need - Hot Rod Gear foots, paint (preferbly Pearl White and Cherry Porshe Red), a seat pad, a propeler (one for Kilo and one for normal races.) I am just trying to pass on the tradition. Any tips or hints please pass on! I am restoring The Miss LoveCraftI need help on Restoring it, Changing it and help get it out of what it looks like now. I have been in the circuit for two and a half months now. It used to be Pam Rucker's boat. I got the boat from Bill Curtis. Ernie Dawe, and Ron Hill are helping me with the boat but I still need: a throttle, pullys closet to the Steering spool, and Steering Wheel, Hot Rod gear foot for an OMC A motor and Brackets to back engine for steering. Also my dad and I are going to be getting together a group to go down to Mission Bay once a month down at Ski Beach and going to run hot laps once a month from 6am until 9 am.

word of advice (for most people) check with RACERS in your region, when looking for equipment, etc FIRST, then, if no aval, search out farther (like Hydroracer.net). The fellow region racers are usually the ones that will help you the most, as newcomers are ALWAYS wanted, so help will be given. I know for sure that Tammy will help you as much as you need it, because she considers ASH her best class and wants it to grow in Reg12. Ernie will also help you in any way he can. Ron should be able to provide you with props also. As to the KILO thing, I suggest NOT worrying about that at all and concentrate on running A and getting your rig dialed in and DO NOT be so concerned about the upcoming Winter Nat's in Bakersfield, as there will be some of the fastest ASH's in the country there and you do not want to disappointed with a initial outing in your first boat. Just go have fun......................it will take years to get running good!

PS: and if for some strange reason you cannot locate evrything you need in Reg12, then give the Reg11 members a ring, they have lots of A stuff too........

I know them all too. I am a former Reg12 racer (as of last May), but now in Reg10........I used to team up with Gary Lewis for years....
