              Great pic!

Hey dlmurray, did you get permission from the flight tower for release of that pic in your avatar?! Cool shot... And by the way, the region 3 banquet holds it's own, where else can you see Jerry Davids in a pink hat dancing with Worm?!

Yes--I did get permission to take off and I landed successfully! It was in Portsmouth, OH on the Ohio River-- a lot of air runs down the river!

                  EORC 2007 Banquet

The EORC 2007 Banquet was again a success! Had approximately 60 people in attendance (based on entry fees)! We had our "One of A Kind" Chinese auction--ranging from tools all the way up to electronics--and various other items in between! Our 50/50 raffle drew not only Banquet attendees, but also others in the area of the Elks Club of Riverhead!

The food was fabulous--and quite an assortment--from shrimp, baked clams (thanks to George Luce--he can cook as well as drive a boat!), sandwiches, chicken marsala, sausage and peppers, roast beef, ham, and plenty of desserts! Thanks to all that took the time!

We had our new arrivals of sweatshirts and hats on sale (thanks to Pam Young and the products were done by Jeff Thompson--outstanding combination!) T-shirts will be coming soon!

We presented our awards and acknowledgements to all the winners!-both EORC, APBA and AOF! Also made announcements of new proud parents and newlyweds! There was a lot going on!

Thanks to everyone that came--we had representation from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Georgia, and New York, both upstate and Long Island--young and old members alike! (Hope I didn't miss anyone!) Also thanks to Carole Terry for organizing as well as her "staff"--Candy and Terri. And thanks to Ken Terry (fortunately for us he was not working) and he did an excellent job of cleaning up (as always)!

                  Photos to be along shortly!

2007 marks the 60th year of EORC! Stay tuned for another fantastic year on boat racing on Long Island!
