    Sponson access

is the round cutout in the left sponson for access to adding lead?
Too many times, hit something in the water, and have the turn fin assemble missing when returning to pits. I now bolt thru the bracket, to the sponson back, and put a small cotter/shear pin thru the bracket and turn fin. I tighten the fin bolt just enough to secure and still kick back if I hit something. Hence the need for the access to the sponson top. This has worked for me in the past, so just incorporated into the new hull.

    Paint

The boat is getting painted next weekend, and yes, the Merc will be attached. It took me a long time to aquire that motor and it's been a good one so far. I did dress it up a bit with a new Harrington hood and late model graphics. I do envy the torque of the 3cyl Tohatsu though. I have a 3cyl Johnrude that seems to pull all the way to the next turn. Your gonna have some fun with yours. Maybe I'll get a chance to see ya in the first turn sometime.

that's cool Joe! That was a nice looking Pugh! Are ya painting the new boat or leaving alot of natural wood? You are still gonna use your Merc right?

    Well said Mercguy,

That's what I've been trying to tell everyone for years!

If you want the Best buy from Lee! It is machined aluminum, its lightweight, it is not expensive and it is TOP notch. Also comes in different colors or bare aluminum. Upon request of course. And no I'm not a dealer, just a believer in his equipment.
