Vintage-Classic Marathon is a GO!!!!!

Ok guys,Just talked with the head of the riverfest in Alpena and he is all for a marathon on the Thunder Bay river so get those KG4s and Mark 30-55Hs tuned this winter.OK,Let me know who could come and what class you will be running.We could get some good prize money for each class.Not sure on the dates yet but i am having another meeting with him next weekend.This will be an event that would be very good for Alpena.Thanks

Anyone can race in the marathon vintage or current stock runabouts.We are going to try to have money for first to last place.Everyone is welcome to race.We want to get some feedback as to how many boats we can get to show up.The course is approx 4 miles each way and is very beautiful and calm and has wide sweeping turns allowing alot of speed through out the coarse.All i need is for boats to show up and have some fun.Let me know who is interested and what class you are running.Old and new we want everyone.Thanks

The race will be in Alpena,Michigan on the Thunder Bay river.

All the older motors can be ran under Classic Stock division. Check out the rules in the rule book.

Bob...this is great news.....I will push hard to get some old stuff headed for Alpena....we have plans to get 2 or 3 dsr/55h rigs in the race and maybe an old mk 15 rig as well.....keep us posted on dates and thanks for all of your hard work and effort.....Im really looking forward to this event!!

Bob...tentatively ( depending on the date) I will be there with a stock CSR rig and I think I know of one other stock CSR that will be coming. This is great news for all us marathon racers who would like to see more "real" marathon races.
