9-27-06 An Hour Before Sunset I Took My Ash For A Ride. I Could Not Take It Nomore So Me And My Frends Went To The River And Set
My Rig Up For Testing. As We Lifted The Boat Down The Rocks About 6 Feet To The Water Garland Powell And My Self Set It Up As Day Light Was Going Away I Felt A Nice Calm As I Knew I Was Going For
A Ride. Its Been Awhile And I Been Fitting With The Idea That I Was Not Going To Race Again. So To Make A Long Story Short I Got My Ride And It Was Fun And Fast I All I Heard In My Head Was The Sound Of The Water Taping The Bottom As I Rode In To The Sunset. Yes Im Alive And Fell Much Better Now Sence My Ride In Ash On The Main Channel. 9 Months After C5 C6 Replacement In My Neck, Wow Was It Fun. So I Guess I Want To Say Thanks To All That Have Given Me There Time And Words Of Encouragment In My Recovery. A Few More Test Times And I Will Race The Last Race Of The Year Yea.

    Wow,
Here's a guy that has been through a year of some of the toughest trials that can be handed a person.

    Loss of a Parent
    Loss of a child
    Major surgery

    All within one year.
All the time he has kept track of what is going on in kneel down racing through this web site. I often see him logged on.

I talked on the cell for while with Rick while on my trip to the keys in March. After hanging up I could not help but feel guilty that I was enjoying a vacation while a fellow racer was going through such a tough time..................

There are many of us who have been through such trials but usually one at a time. Rick was handed all three at once.

Enjoy the ride Brother!.........See ya out there on the water....IN MY WAKE!

19P Were ya wear'n your Uncle Sam hat?

                  Thank you world!
This is good news. And it was right about that time I was thinking a lot about you as I was listening to the CD you made for me. I listen to it all of the time and think of you often. You are a great friend and inspiration.
