I am glad you are willing to work hard. (Hard work is more than 40 hours a week. and more than 5 days a week.) Work six, rest one. Work from daylight till dark. Now you are working hard.

Bill Gates busted his ass and to say he, or anyone else is lucky is an insult to that person. ( If we said you were lucky after having recieved you diploma, how would that make you feel.) He is proud of what he did too. And there has never been a time that one needs an education, i.e. througth the public school system. Especially one that is controlled by the Government and Big Business. You will be educated to be an employee. To be more than that cannot be taught in the school system because the teachers are employees.

A US Gov't study showes that at age 65 25% of us have died along the way. (you do not have to participate in that 25%)
20% of us live below poverty.
51% of us live above poverty but below $35,000. (Heck $35,000 is poverty after the gov't takes 50% in taxes, so basically most of us are dead or dead broke at 65).
4% of us are financially independent, Not dependent on Social Insecurity or financially support outside of our means.

ONLY 4%! Most, most, MOST! are not employees, they own a business. I hope you are going into business for your dreams sake.

Remember Karl Marx Communist manifesto has 10 planks, the 10th one says, that you need gov't funded free public education to convert a country to communisum.

      Freedom isnt free.

      Take care.

FF: You seem quite bitter at the Government and the school system. I understand the government, everyone get screwed by them, but what's so wrong about getting an education? You were my age (I'm guessing) in the 1970's. I wasn't around, but I was in Adanced History in high school (another straight A in that class) and the percentage of people who went to college then is nothing compared to the record breaking statistics of college students today. If all I did was finish high school, I would be working at some fast food joint asking people if they want fries with that, but I'm on my way to owning a multi-million dollar corporation. I love Big Business and Corporate America!

Again with Bill Gates. There are plenty of people I know in his age group that didn't get any further then high school and have worked just as hard if not harder and still do not recieve the recognition they deserve. So yes, he IS a lucky man. Smart and hard working, but also lucky.

If arguing with a kid over who's way of life is better helps you sleep at night, so be it. But I get satisfaction from my own personal accomplishments.

Oh, my slave driver is pulling out the whip. It's time for my daily beatings.

            Succeed

I am all for you succeeding. Working hard is not the full answer to success. If it was every hamberger flipper would be rich. Working smart is another key. If someone sells french fries it is because of choice not education.

I am not bitter. Just have the experience along with my multi-millionair freinds, Doctors, Lawyer, truck drivers, engineers, mechanics, dental tech's, business owners, etc. from 6th grade drop outs to PHD's. By the way they did not become successful or financialy independent throught their schooling or trade.

I an not arguing. Just stating facts.

I tell you what, why don't you 1. Go to school. 2. Get a good education. 3. get a good job. 4. Work hard. 5. Be successfull. ( in all areas of life.)

Your are perfectly welcome to do that. It is ok. More power to you. I hope you suceed.

Then call me in 30 years.

            Have a nice day.

Hey! There is someone out there that understands.

The rich (Self employeed, big business)
                  1. earn
                  2. spend
                  3. pay tax on what is left

                  The poor (Employees)
                  1. earn
                  2. pay tax on it all
                  3. spend what little is left.

You are correct. Most people are determined to stay broke. A fish does not know it is wet.

Ya, you are correct we should quit this thread. I liked it because it said "Stating the Obvious". Which by the way is not always obvioius.

Pissing people off at the speed of light. (by telling the truth.)

Awww, I'm flattered! But it's going to take a lot more then just the satisfaction of being your sugar momma for me to marry you. Plus, I'm not at the Sugar Momma status yet, I'm in the process. I'm still looking for a sponsor to go snow mobiling with you guys this winter!

I agree with Steve, also Mike the libbers have made it possible to change , like Bill said ( What is is) . Education is the key ,seems to take a long time for common sense to kick in though. Have fun hea'.

Seems that most don't know this little diddy but the reason the rich keep getting richer is because of thier decision making process. Likewise for the poor. The decision making process for making money regardless of education is making the same decision. In other words doing the thing that made you successful in the first place. The poor do the same thing that makes them poor and then they look to blame or say you must have been lucky or you stole it to make it. If this were the case then Why do we have more millionaires today than 50 years ago? Evey millionaire that I know worked their ass off for it. A 40 hour work week is for losers not successful people. Again every Millionaire that I know has done this by 100 hours mininum a week and not by checking out on Friday singging the song "Take this job and sove it" as they go buy a 6 pack and sit on thier asses for the weekend watching the tube.
