Formula 500 Racing takes Motorsports to another extreme, entertaining audiences with high speed, action packed, over-the-water power boat racing. Spectators watch in awe as lightweight tunnel boats, constructed of wood, fiberglass and carbon fiber materials, literally race across the water on a cushion air at speed in excess of 110 mph. The races begin from a standing start along the “pit dock” in the same manner that made LeMans such a world famous event. The races consist of single lap qualifying and a main event with 3 heats of 8 laps. The events are televised on prime time in the both Europe and Internationally in 77 countries. The World Championship Formula 500 Series travels throughout Europe with stops in major cities and excellent venues.

AMERIDUTCH RACING is family owned independent race team. We are aggressively seeking a medium/high profile company interested in promoting their business through racing. We can offer our sponsors a dynamic medium for the promotion of their product or company. Formula boat racing draws a diversified spectator following, enabling a wide variety of marketing opportunities. AMERIDUTCH RACING is small team of American and Dutch teammates committed to winning the World Championship!!

James was recently on pole position for the start of the F500 round in Bitterfield Germany. A first for both James and the Pugh Boat Works F500 boat. He set fastest lap in timed practice to top all the regular hot shoes.

The race didnt go as well, some set backs prevented him from a good overall result. Since my results come from rumour, gossip and hear say, perhaps James will take the time to complete the story.

A little more detail. The Bitterfeld race was mixture of good and bad. Friday during free practice we were 2nd quickest following Attila Havas. Craig Dewald performed some magic on the props overnight to help overtake Attila. During the 1st time trial I broke a crankshaft on the 2nd lap. We scrambled to rebuild the engine between qualifying sessions and just finished with minutes to spare. The 2nd time trial was better and we posted the only time below 40 seconds (39.92). Starting on pole position for the first heat was Great but didn't last long as the lower unit failed after 3 laps. The 2nd heat had us at the end of the grid and we could only manage 6th. The 3rd was much like the 1st with an ignition box failure. I'm hoping for better luck this weekend at the 700 World Championships in the Czech Republic.
