  • FM or AM transmitters

Our club is looking into getting a transmitter that will broadcast to a radio in the pits and also to boats that are anchored outside the race course that can,t hear the PA. At first we thought a FM transmitter was what we needed but after doing a little research it looks like AM might be the way to go. Can anybody give me any information on these type of systems.
    Thanks

The USTS purchased an FM transmitter this summer and we used it at Constantine and the Nationals. So far we are very happy with it as are the drivers.

        FM transmitter

I built the FM transmitter which the USTS uses. Email me with your inquiries and I will provide you with all the info you need to get one up and broadcasting. I did research before I bought and it seems that FM is the way to go. PeteG pgrysk@aol.com
