He came back that day and was sporting an arm sling, but was walking fine. I did not get to talk to him personally, but was told all was well. And I saw his rig at the casino on the way home.
I am very lucky to have racers like Dave Scott in DSH. I hit a roller at 80+ just before the second turn of the first lap when everyone was still pretty bunched up. Dave cranked the wheel hard and rolled his own boat to keep from hitting me in the water. My boat is probably a total loss and my motor took a hard hit also. I hope the damage to Dave's is not too severe as I was occupied at the hospital for a time and never really got to see it. I'm really glad Dave didn't hurt himself trying to miss me. I might have torn the rotator cuff in my left shoulder when I went out as I tore the side of the boat out hanging on to the throttle with a death grip. I really wasn't ready to end the season just yet. Mike 67G
