Composites
It is all part of the new composite center section. The nose is all Kevlar and foam core that is fused with the two composite cockpit sides that are Kevlar and Carbon Fiber. It makes the boat lighter, stronger and hopefully much safer than regular wood sides.

So are both cockpit walls carbon fiber from the decks up and the whole length of the boat ?
ThanksHTML Code:

Thanks for the quick reply, sounds like a very safe concept in terms of broad side impacts.HTML Code:

wow that thing is freakin beautiful,,,man o man o man weve got some really amazing boats coming out ,,,,thank you Mark and to the other hand full of guys out there perfecting the craft of stock/pro/mod race boats,,,,you keep our sport/love moving forward,,, I dig the kev. nosecone/cockpit sides,, but if i had one question for Mark would be his reason behind the center of the forward deck hanging out past the rest of the deck???if he would share,,, again much respect to a talented craftsman Mark Johnson,,,,,

Kidding, Mark, boat looks great and I like the composite cockpit and *blunt* sponson tips.
BTW, What's the ruling if you deflate a buoy but don't take it with you? (I've known that to happen a time or three.)Attached FilesLast edited by David_L6; 07-30-2006, 07:08 PM....

Mark,
GREAT JOB! Joe's gonna love it. I was up at his place for his annual bar crawl and that's all he talked about last night! He is fired up and couldn't wait to come down to get it this week.
I think this may be one of the safest boats we've ever seen in SO. Keep up the good work and hopefully we can all follow suit in the near future.

Team Roper (MJR) keeps growing
Very Sweet, Marc!!
I love the varaition on the ducker section and the whole boat looks great. With all these Teammates in their new wood, mine is going to be the old man in the fleet. Might have to start raiding the couch cushions and pinching pennies and think about an upgrade.
For those of you looking for new wood, I don't think you could go wrong with one of Marc's boats. Not only is the craftmanship top shelf, these boats ride great. Turn on a dime, handle the rough water with no problem and with all the kevlar and carbon in the cockpit, are probably one of the strongest & safest made today. These boats will spoil you.Last edited by Brian10s; 07-31-2006, 09:03 AM.Brian 10s

Hey Marc in your opinion would this be the next best thing to a capsule so far as side impact to the driver ? Of course the driver is not sitting or straped in but this might be the next best thing so long as the driver stays in the boat during a wreck ?HTML Code:
