While I'd love to stay on top of Danica Patrick...that thread has led to this.

What are the true speeds of the various Pro classes on competition courses of 1 mile? I assume that's about the size of Depue.

Be honest...I know many of you guys must be running with a GPS...or at least testing there with one.

David Weaver says 94 in a 250H. Others?

    What about a 500R? Breaking 100mph?

Testing with a GPS, I have seen 96mph + at Alexandria, Inverness, Camden and DePue. I believe that the Inverness reading was suspect, as the course was very short. The others were close to 1 mile layouts. These were all recorded while testing. I have seen 95mph+ a couple of time in competition conditions.

My best competition propeller regularly shows 92MPH max during races, but it accelerates better than the top-end props.

At the USTS races, I regularly step-up with the 350's on Saturday. Two years ago, I could generally hold my own and sometimes grabbed a second or third overall. This year, I have noticed that most of the 350's have 3MPH or more on me in competition, probably placing them in the area of 95mph to 99mph. Unless the course is short, I have little chance against them.

Morea nd more often, we are running 3/4 mile layouts in the USTS races. The 1 mile course is often used as well. Rarely, do we run a 1 1/4 mile course. This clearly keeps the top-end speeds lower (and safer).
