  • Tony Staron Surgery

Tony Staron underwent surgery this morning to repair a neck injury he sustained after being rear ended in his mail delivery truck just days after a hard accident at the nationals in NY.
Unfortunately, as reported by Carl, the surgery did not go as planned. It looks like Tony will eventually need to go back for neck fusion of C4 and 5.
Tony is in a lot of pain, but should return to Lake Placid today.
Let's just hope and pray that the doctors are wrong and that once things settle, Tony's surgery went better than we think.

Tony, your whole boat racing family wishes you the best and we pray for a speedy recovery. Racing just isn't the same without you.

Tony is doing good! He called me on his way out of the surgery and was in good spirits. He makes cat noises on my phone when he is doing good............They were supose to operate on his neck and were not able to complete the surgery because it was worst then they thought in two places that didn't show up on his MRI's. A majority was completed. He plans on riding out to Wakefield with me and I am sure he will throwing back beers with his new neck just fine!!

Mike- make sure Tony does not loan his car to Chase Cambell this time.
