  • Central Divisionals photos - Constantine, MI

    All,

As Kevin Ladd mentioned in another post, we had an abundance of great photographers and over 160 entries Saturday and 120 on Sunday at the 2006 Great Lakes Challenge / Central Divisionals which celebrated the American Legion's 50th year of outboard powerboat racing. Constantine proved why it is a great site as the OPCs were getting blown out in Peoria, IL and Stock/Mod Outboarders had the same fate in Norwood, NY we were able to get in 2 days of racing (not without challenges from the wind on Sat and rain on Sun.).

Below is a link for Kevin Johnston's photography. He provided some of the more "spectacular" pictures of the weekend here, but if you are looking for some of yourself please follow his instructions to the other site where ther are over 300 more.

    Thanks again to Kevin.

            cause and effect

picture 2 on the cover would be a result of Adam not holding his inside lane.
I don't normally try to run over my competetors....
But those pics are super clear!! And defentitly some good timing shots!

Looking at some of the photos, I will say what I have said to many others in the past couple of years ... ASH/AXSH is the toughest, hardest hitting class in racing. I would have trouble mustering the courage to jump in an ASH (plus my fat butt would sink it too) and take my hat off to the racers, especially the young Region 5 racers, who run ASH/AXSH/KPRO.
