Dave Schwarz may bring a second FER for some brave volunteer driver. The boat is a 13 ft DeSilva, I don't know what motor he is prepping for it. He has a shed full of legal Mercs of all varieties

At some other race sites some racers said they never came to Sharptown because they thought we only had short courses in the northern part of Region 4. For those who have never been there: This is not a short course like Denton. I think we usually race about a mile at Sharptown, but we could easily make it a mile and a half if we wanted ... the river is probably a little under a half mile WIDE and deep enough to race on almost from shore to shore.

If you are from the north, I'd say the water is very much like Lock Haven (minus the town, levee & spillway)

Directions Route 50 East through Easton, MD and Cambridge, MD. After you cross Nanticoke River Memorial Bridge, go approx. 3.6 miles, turn Left on Route 313, take immediate Left on Route 313/Sharptown Road. Continue on Route 313/Sharptown Road for approx. 6.5 miles. Turn Right on Sharptown Line Road, Left on Cherry Beach Road into Cherry Beach Park.

Registration Friday, June 16, 2006, when Janet Stoy in pits. If you are present on Friday and do not register on Friday, you will not be allowed to register on Saturday. Since you will not be racing on Saturday, you will be working on the Judges' Stand. Saturday, in pits - 8 a.m. to - 9 a.m. Pre-registration available by mail or email to Janet Stoy at jls@nixonvan.com by Wednesday, June 14. Entry blanks can be printed from APBA website. Bring signed Minor Release Forms for all children attending race. Forms can be printed from APBA website.

Mike I dont think there are any noise restrictions there if I remember right.

No noise restriction. The only comment I've ever heard from the Crab Cops was "Man, I love the sound of those LOUD racing motors!"

One of the Crab Cops even brings his personal camcorder to take video from the police boat.
