  • Tweed, Ont July 15-16 - 06

After a final meeting with the Tweed Council last evening, they have given us their approval for our race in Tweed, Ont July 15-16, 06.. This will be a 3 day in 2 race for points chasers.. lots of Fun there is also a fair in town the same weekend with a dance on Friday evening and demolition Derby on Saturday evening. The town is very excited and really want us there to race.. This is another revival of an old CDN race site which has hosted CDN national races in the past. there is one motel right at the race site, I will be in contact with them and get information and post it asap. it is not a large motel so it will be a first come first serve basis there I am sure. There is camping but no hook ups for water or electric.

The race site is basically 1.5 hours north East of Toronto and about 1.5hr north west of Fishers Landing. and about 3hrs north west of Montreal.

    I will keep you posted.

Here is a map from mapquest to Tweed.

      motels...

I just got off the phone with the motel that is on site.. at the race..

Rooms are 60$ CDN per night with 1 queen size bed and 80$ per night with double beds. They have one full suite offering a kitchen at 100$ per night.

there number is 613-478-3134. they currently have 1 full suite left and only 8 rooms. so book up quick. Ask for Jane and mention the race or APBA/CBF member. it is the park place motel.

There is another about 15 minutes north of the race site on Hwy 7 called the West Wind Motel in Actinolite. There number is 613-478-3130.

They will fill up quick with the Fair and the big wedding in town that weekend.

I will be there with ASH and hopefully ASR.

Who else will have an ASR? Should I bring it?

Mike Noonan (from Perth I think) is trying to buy one, Randy Dodd is interested in one, so lets try and keep them going! It will grow!
