  • Jerry Weenant?

Thank you all for helping me on previous threads but now I am looking for a guy named Jerry Wienandt? I am not sure of the spelling of his last name but he once has a 25SS and I believe that it is the one that I just bought from a guy named Chris Lake. Chris said that he acuired this motor from Jerry about 8-10 years ago and I would really like to talk to Jerry if he is indeed the previous owner of my motor!

    Thanx,

    Schrammer

I find it hard to believe that Jerry had a 25SS motor, certainly he never raced one. A D Stock motor had all it could do to push him around the race course but his real claim to fame was in C, D, E and Formula E hydros. He was an ok race for a number of years before he borrowed Sam Hemp's DSH boat and stuck a 44 on it, then the National championships, high points, records and Hall of Champions seemed to be a yearly event. He also won a number of Formula E championships with the three cylinder Merc 650 motor most people think unsuited for any racing application. He was so dominant in this class that one year he even lent it to Chuck Petersen and he also won the Nationals with it. But a 25SS? Never happened

          Good Idea

If he owned it, he would certainly know how to make it go fast. Jerry was good with Mercs, and I think it is his son or brother that is currently the OPC chairman in APBA. He builds a lot of engines for stockers as well. He might be able to lend you some good info if you can't get hold of Jerry.
