is whitney point going to run this year?

i've heard about most races running in region 2 except for whitney point. i was wondering if this race was going to be held this year. i thoroughly enjoyed it last year and would like to attend again this year. thanks in advance for the info.

ON races?

Spencer; -has that ON zone meeting in Kingston occured yet?
Any word if the Tamworth and Desoronto races will happen?
Long Sault? I also hear there may be some issues with Waterford.

ya the ontario zone meeting occured on the 11th. waterford has a verbal go, they are just waiting on a written letter from the new park owners, deseronto is on and may have v-bottoms this year, long sault is on with 2.5L and 1.5L inboards added to the schedule, tamworth is in negotiations, tweed is in negotiations, and carlton place is just waiting on paper work. for more details on what happened at the meeting you can e-mail my father who was at the meeting. it should be a good year for racing up here with carlton place, waterford, deseronto, and long sault going on with the possibility of tamworth and/or tweed going on too. norwood and redwood are also joint sanctioned events so this should make for a lot of racing close to home.

sorry everyone, i was mistaken about carlton place's status. you'll have to ask dave scott to verify this but last i heard this morning is that carleton place is a no go.

Izzy no longer owns the Warterford Ont park ?

Any idea on pricing for camping and parking fees this year ?

its either now owenrs or new managers, i'm not sure but i'm getting this info second hand. the person to ask about waterford is andrew fralick. i not sure what will happen to camping prices though.

Hey Dave and all in regards to Waterford...

TORC has been in touch with the new management of Waterford... they're waiting for a few more details before announce everthing. Not sure of the reason, but Izzy's is on his way out. He will still live up the street and will help us out he says if we like.

The county Parks dept now manages the site and when TORC approached them the were already aware that they have held many great events there and have given verbal permission to continue. TORC and them are just ironing out a few things. At this point you can still plan on coming and having a blast!!

Before this sudden change over took place we had settled on and printed up flyers with lower costs for park entry and camping than previous years.

I have been displaying my boat at couple small boat shows in the area and have gotten GREAT feed back. We didn't get a single complaint from anyone. Even the little old couple who live next door came up and introduced them selves. Said things like they'd never seen anything go so fast on the water and were looking forward to them again.

I believe this could be our best year yet. We have patrol boats lined up with drivers, a jet ski lined up for towing. Torphies for J's lined up. And more... but wait for the official word from TORC...

Will spread the word as soon as everything is confirmed.
