I use a MyCron 3 which they dont make anymore but replaced it with the MyCron 4 , it is a data logger for around the same price as the Digitron. Everyone that saw mine now owns one as there work every time on most anything. I use it on Hotrods and Mercs best thing is it records each session and you can recall every temp and RMP from the time you start the motor till you shut it off. Here is the link for it.

Mycron
We used George's Mycron data logger when testing the new Sidewinder for the first time it didn't skip a beat. That thing kept accurate numbers and had a nice large readout that was easy to read while driving. I'd defintly recommend this make. GLFuture J dad!

Mychron
I will be testing my new Mychron 4 basic this weekend. I did also pick up the data logger key so I can transfer the data to a pc. This unit looks SWEET! Thanks for the advice .Gene Schertz 26V

Rick we never tried it yet on the 80 but will this weekend on Matts at Milleville and I will let you know Sunday evening. I know the kart guys are using them on the Briggs which I think still has a mag system. Right now Matt uses one of the old Digitron DT-6E which works great and Digitron still services them.Destiny is a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

The DT-6E i have is a 1988 unit and is set up for my pointed Yamato 80/102 ignition system. They now have a replacement model for it which they will be happy to talk to you about. Be sure to tell then it is for a points ignition and not an electronic system.
They can rig the lead to plug right into the kill switch if you want which makes things real simple!! They are very 'user' friendly and understand what we do.
Just go on line to digetron.com and their toll free number will be there. I personally would opt for a Digetron over any other brand of tach.
Great job again at Zanesville.

Matt- Thanks for the info on the tach. I will call Digatron and get a tach. In the past they have told me they did not have anything for a point ignition that was reliable. I will give them the info you told me. Great to see you guys at Zanesville and thanks for the good word. I have to work on the B Mod set up. I now have three second places and a third in the last 4 years. You know Ricky Bobby said if you ain't first you're last, so i better get working right now on picking up some speed.

The Mychron Basic works great. Data loging and very detailed. I'm glad I bought the extra temp sensor and patch cable. The single piece unit would not have been long enough.
Future update will be the expansion module so I can hook in a gps unit. That will make the data even more informative.
Also the beacon for lap times, but I will have to check the range on it.Gene Schertz 26V
