Motor to boat ratio

quick question open for opinions here.
A Yamato 102 mod motor came into my crosshairs this morning, and was thinking about jumping on it.
How much boat would you think’d be needed for that kind of spiciness?

75 mph would be respectable. So you want to make a Mod C or ie 500 Mod out of it? That is 75 on a hydro.

Somewhat bigger than a C Stock Hydro.

11’-11’6” could go bigger but this is what I would build for myself.

Entler:
I used to race a 102 MOD on a 11 foot hydro. I had no problem with it due to size and consistently ran 75 mph. I would suggest a 11'6" boat if your weight is in the moderate range.....150-175 lbs. I weigh +200 lbs. Hope this helps....
