Bottom line is that power is falling fast over 7000 rpm and you're pretty much done by 7200. The only reason you may want to turn it faster is to use a prop with lower pitch so you get off the corners faster, but you're going to run out of breath on the high end so there are limits as to how low you can go. You don't want too tall a prop because the south end of the power curve is around 6000 rpm, and if you come off the corner too low in rpm you won't have good acceleration coming off the corner.Last edited by Yellowjacket; 04-02-2019, 04:51 PM.
