    Josh,
Your post is even more evidence of why we need new blood in our sport. Most of us oldtimers can't see the forrest for the trees.
    Thank you for your insightfulness,
    Connie

I am just stating the facts Joe J the reason I asked to what extent did you guys go it seems like you got to the goal line and missed the field goal NO SILENCERS
Sorry if it seems I am stepping on your delicate toes. I will try to make more sense for you in the future.

In a nutshell, don't schedule only a couple classes from a category that already have acceptable noise levels. Don't invite them for a major event and not allow testing. Simply put, focus your attention on what works down there, and don't create more issues than you already have, you have enough on your plate securing race courses, and trying to build the numbers in FL.

Paul, maybe you were not a member of this board when the thread started a year or two ago, I actually started it, trying to quiet down the Mod engines. It was not pretty, and several threatening phone calls later I dropped it. I know to silence a Mod is not difficult, but to make them even more silent than say an expansion chamber seems like overkill. There is a lot more to it than simply buying a pipe and bolting it on. There is nobody making chambers for Mods that can equal everyone out like the megaphones do. Sam Leblanco made a can style megaphone that reduced noise to little more than a fart. They were fast as well. So, we all know the technology is out there, I wonder why you can't convince a company to enter into the pipe building business for APBA Mods ? Might be the limted amount they will sell..... As like I mentioned earlier, Mods have a pretty good choice of who to race with, and I have not heard of any NBRA races, or many AOF races lost due to noise. So I guess iff one looks hard enough, one can find a place to race with whatever you want. Lake Placid is a prime example........
