Does anyone remember a Lenny Falcone during the 70s or can anyone identify this boat or at least tell me what class and what plans may have been used to build her. I bought it to restore in the hopes that my grandson might be interested in eventually racing it.

Looks like A stock Hydro. Take some measurements like length from bow (not pickle point) to rear bottom at transom. Length from back of sponson to rear bottom at transom. Maybe weight it. Don't know builder. Look inside in unexposed areas maybe he left some marks?

I'm sure a few East Coasters will chime in. From what I recall Lenny built his own boats and ran A,15, and possibly B Hydro.

Lenny hailed from Staten Island, New York. Dominated the 15ssh class for years. Had a super fast CraigCraft, and made copies of that along side George Stillwell for a few years. Pretty sure this boat has popped up a few times in the past. Lenny also raced 25ssh. Not sure exact which boat this was. Albert Desiato or Billy Simmons might have a better idea. Would look great restored but if you were looking to get your grandson into racing there may be a better option out there that was built within the last few years.
Where are you located? Might be able to direct you to a local racer who can help you out.
