Dumb question but what diameter and thread pitch is the propnut for a Yamato gearcase? I know the shaft area where the prop sits is 9/16 but the threads are noticably smaller than and not sure what that size is.

It should be 1/2-20 on one that's been converted -
Some of the newer shafts are fine thread, don’t remember the dia.

New shafts I have and install are 9/16 - 9/16 X 20 threads.Made by Lee Tietze, I stock as a dealer.
Been 9/16 treads for 2 years now.
