September 29-30 marks the season closer for the Indiana Outboard Association with the Bob Vanover Memorial Regatta at A.J. Jolly Park in Alexandria Kentucky. About 20 minutes south of Cincinatti, this 3/4 mile oval course has long straightaways for high speed drag races.
The C service and C Race Divisionals as well as the North American Championships for 350 modified hydroplane, 500 modified runabout, and 850 modified runabout will take place on Saturday. On top of the listed above, the following classes will be ran.
-All modified classes
-C service and C race classes
-J classes
-C Stock Runabout, 20ss Hydro, C Stock Hydroplane, A Stock Runabout Marathon, B Stock Runabout Marathon, 15 Super Stock Runabout Marathon, 25 super stock runabout marathon, D stock runabout marathon, C Stock Runabout Marathon
Registration is from 8-9 on Saturday in the pits and from 8-8:30 on Sunday. Driver's meeting will be at 9:30 each morning. Classes are $30 per class per day except for J classes which are $20 per class per day.
We encourage all who can to attend. We always have a steak dinner in the pits Saturday night after racing is finished which is then accompanied with a bonfire afterwards. It's a great way to look back on a great season of racing and brainstorm ideas for next season. Camping is permitted in pits and there are plenty of hotels within 10 miles of the park. We hope to see you all there!!
