Ok thank you. We have 7-8 25SSH in Ontario. I'm not sure who has a plate and who doesn't... I will try to figure it out and get in touch. Thanks.

With the restrictor and height restriction do you think it will be competitive against the 20 SW? Trying to decide if it is worth bringing ours to the Nationals.

I think the 25 wont be competitive with the 20SW in the new configuration. I think that is what APBA wants too. We'll setup a 25SSH in CBF and continue that class likely in 2019. APBA drivers, let us know how much you want for your 25XS's

            Re: Restrictor for 25xs

I'll take one, but need it middle of March preferably - is that doable?

What is the general speed difference between the restricted 25XS and the unrestricted 25XS? I've seen some unrestricted 25XS's reaching 73MPH or so on a 1 mile course.

GrandpaRacer, 68MPH with restricted engine and no height restriction? Just how fast are these Sidewinder 20's going now? Appreciate the answers. Curious as I have a couple of 25XS's I'd like to run with the APBA someday.

I have no clue how fast the SW 20 is but the 25xs is now restricted and lower prop height than when I ran 25 xs, so it must be slower, maybe 63-64 as a guess.

Pat and I have been running a 20SW on the west coast for 4 years in 20ssh. At West Virginia in 2016 I took 2nd in the nationals in 25SSH with 7 other merc guys. I nailed my starts and won the second heat, but Jeff Brewster probably had 3 MPH on me (and the rest of the field for that matter). Take that for what it is, but I think the 80s and restricted 25xs with the 20SW will probably be a decent combo. We'll see. John, bring that 25XS out and play! We already have 4 commitments from Y80 owners in region 10 for the new BSH class.

Plates now available-- I have talked with Alan @ Brown Tool and Machine , and he will now be the supplier for the 25 XS restrictor plates- We all know the quality he puts into his parts - It only makes sense that we support him - Please contact him in NJ for availability .
