I saw the Dieter Schultz bellyboat run a t the John Ward trophy race at Picton Ontario in 1961. A true prop rider. I have the plans for the Ben Hur and started cutting frames for it. to make it a belly boat, I have to modify frames #1 and #2 to allow for the prone position. The steering wheel has to move as far forward as you can go but allow for a lexan shield. The cabover ride is a different sensation, be prepared. My Pugh 12 footer is a lay down, but not a true cabover powered by a mercury 650 in the mod E class. It will be fun to try and at least see what happens.
