    simpson_voyager2recall_2017ap0617.pdf

Has anyone heard how APBA or other racing groups is handling this far as notifying their members that these have been recalled and they can't use them ?

I would assume that are insurance would not allow us to use a known recalled helmet.

I would think the legal nightmare if someone got hurt do to a failure and was allowed to continue use of a recalled helmet at one of are races?

We have Pell Lake coming up and at this time we will not allow this recalled helmet to be used at are race for liability reasons.

update: Heard from other racers that have sent there helmet in that Simpson repaired the defect and send it back with paper work of some kind.

I will update as I get more info or if anyone else knows more facts on how this is being handled in APBA or else where please post

      SIMPSON HELMET RECALL UPDATE

Simpson customer service is recalling SA2015 Voyager2 helmets made and sold by Simpson, manufactured in 2016. The chin strap may detach from the helmet during an accident, making the helmet useless in that situation. Per APBA member Kris Shepard, if it has a yellow chin strap the recall needs to be done. If it is black it is OK.

The entire recall notice is at http://www.apba.org/sites/all/files/...2017ap0617.pdf
