Looking forward to seeing everyone at Franklin. With the wet weather - the park does not want any vehicle driven in the grass. That is both the beach area and upper grass lot. The tractor is the only method of putting trailers in the grass. Tom, the tractor guy, has volunteered again to man the tractor again this year and everyone needs to appreciate it. If not for him then it would be the race committee and you could be there until August if up to us. So be patient and tip heavily. We will get everyone in and out the best we can.
cudos to brian, jeff, mary and all who worked hard to make franklin 2017 a big success and a fun weekend. my hat goes off to 'tractor man' jeff who, through a hard rain, moved trailers out so the racers could hook up and get on the road. jeff did not have a dry spot on him and did it with a smile. thank you jeff.
is there any update on the two racers who went to the hospital?
The young driver (early 20's) broke his collar bone
I saw his flip through the binoculars- he flew quite a ways
His friends were pitted across from me- Saturday they suspected he had a concussion but turned out he didn't after all

i was in the rescue boat for him. it was nasty. i was the swimmer in the boat but with the ramp we were able to get him in by his life jacket and i kept him secure. his last day of school was that friday.
Im Good! The hospitals in Seneca PA and Pittsburg are excellent!! Picked up the RV and boat trailer on Wednesday June 7! Park people kept an eye on it til we got a chance to get it! Thank you everyone for your concern, hope to be back to Franklin next year! Great place to race!!
glad to hear you're ok. was concerned when they told us you had an issue and were being kept extra days. maybe see you at lock haven? remember you 'need to get back on the horse'.
