    http://www.woodenboat.com/current-is...nboat-magazine

It has been almost three decades since Wooden Boat featured
an o/b hydro on its cover,
The JAN 2017 issue, profiling the late Bob O'Connor Sr, is a keeper.

Have my CSH laydwn all penciled out and when building gets slow it will happen, lighten her up with Carbon Fiber/ Kevlar and foam core, 1st run should be interesting.

I have to disagree with you about Bob Sr. . He built Jack and I at least 10 boats over the years . We have more custom builds from The Hydroplaneoligest than most would believe were built- From a 125 pro to the Last boat Bob finished - all our boats have some sort of tweak - You just had to explain why you wanted the change - and what the improvement would be - Also I never asked the price . Bob jr. Has also built us boats - Jacks 300 ssh is a great boat that ran very well in its first ( short - off to RIT ) season.

Took some time and a few cups of tea , maybe an argument thrown in and you would get your boat Shawn.

You couldn't tell him NOTHIN !

-that may be true, I would not know, but he was observant, and wanted to learn.
Early 2000s, N/Eastern Divs in CT, we drove down from ON with a new CSH,
a all C-F ArltraLite lay-down. It ran away from the pack in the 1st elim,
but we got DQ'd for being 3#s under weight, so that was the end of that .
The boat was back on my truck when Bob Sr. came by and introduced himself,
not that he needed to, made some flattering remarks about the boat,
and asked for 'my permission' to look at the bottom of the hull, or better yet,
measure it. I said of course, we would be honored !
Two hours later I returned, and he was still at it.....
I have never seen a O'Connor lay-down, but I would not be surprised
that a few tweaks to his CSH dims occurred that winter . .

Got my copy and it's a cohkah. From the "best in class" photo of Iron Mike on the cuvah to the "finestkind" contributions of Billy Allen. A "must read" and must for your coffee table.
On comparisons of Bob Jr and Bob Sr., read the article.
