  • feedback required on reman pistons.

    Hey All,

Ok guys I have revisited doing a run off early Super Thunderbolt pistons and a run of 40 CI pistons. I am looking into quantities now. What I need from you guy's are what sizes would you want them in.. This is also a means off me to find out if I really need to do this or not.

These will be weight matched with pins and clips..

    choices are .015, .020, .030. .040 I am hoping that I will only have to do .015 and .030.

I have also talked with them about 30CI pistons as well but that will be a ways down the road..

please e-mail with your sizes and amount you think you may require. I will not hold you to the amount but I need to supply quantities for pricing.. I will not be doing any std's sorry..

    .020 and .040

99 % of the blocks out there need to get bored. If you only want to do two diffrent piston sizes, my vote would be for .020 and .040 overs. Standard bore and .015 over could be cleaned up with the .020 overs. The wore out .030 overs could be cleaned up withthe .040 overs.

Other option would be to have .050 or .060 over blanks made. Finished piston without ring grooves or locator pins. Have customers turn to fit block. ????

    Best of luck with project.
