INSURANCE: PAGING OUR BOD STOCK OUTBOARD REPS.........

As a concerned CVRA club member i was reading the December 6, 2016 BOD meeting minutes. Paragraph 5 states we now as of December 1 have a new APBA Insurance provider and that we will be seeing a "significant price savings for our clubs". As our local Stock Outboard clubs face around $3000 in insurance and fee's payable to APBA to put on a weekend race, what sort of "significant savings" can our club and others look forward to?

Perhaps new SORC (Region 4) BOD Representative Runne can enlighten us as to what we can expect to save?

Remember...........without CLUB RACING there is no APBA.

Thanks Howie................couldn't find the 2017 charts. Sooooo, what is the net savings to Stock Outboard clubs from 2016 to 2017?

From 2016 to 2017 is about $300 per race. Same insurance as always for apba. 2016 per sanction insurance fee was approx $2600, now $2300.

The way I understand it the savings comes from avoiding the rise in rates the other company was quoting. 2016 had some serious accidents that probably was driving up the rates.

What are the coverages under this insurance.

Same as always for apba, $5 million liability. Our outboard per race rates are back down to 2014 levels.
