Dave- I was at Yelm that year. I remember a few guys from region 11 were interested after that. Terry Woodhams had 2. I was considering it as well.

I was lucky with my 44XS....all we did to it was break the thing in for 20 minutes or so. I never even changed the spark plugs for the first year....I was also lucky in the props I purchased....I got some very fast ones right out of the box.

If memory serves me correct, my first challenge race was in January 1987 in d stock hydro at Puddingstone lake outside of Los Angeles. What othe memories do people have of the different events? How did it get started?
Matt, John Snell and I (from Texas) were at that race, I remember meeting you, and remember all the ducks there on Puddingstone. I placed well in 25xsr with a blue Staron hull. That was a long time ago wasn't it. I competed against Bob Austin and Dave Dewalt in the Mercury challenges in Florida as well. Good times my friend. Rusty Sitton

Team Texas: I remember you guys! Puddingstone was such a cool place to race...possibly the best pits I have ever seen. I have 2 plaques just like Mike Bartlett has posted.....they are on the wall of my place. Did the 25 runabouts ever do a lemans start?
