X games

I was just wondering why hydroplane and or runabout racing isn't part of the summer X games. Seems like a better candidate than some of the sports that are involved. They have dirtbikes, snowmobiles, and I think 4 wheelers. why not boats? might bring more exposure to the sport, and maybe even some cool sponsers.

I watched the X games this year and thought the same thing. x games have an international field so why not run our international classes.. OSY,125H,250H...national televised coverage could definatly attract major sponsors to help fund the fun...just an idea ,,,so if any one out there has the connections ,lets make it happen Xgames are all about radical edge cutting sports,,, cant imagine anything more cutting edge than a full field of boats charging into the first turn 12KenF

I think it is a great idea also. I thought it was such a good idea I e-mailed ESPN this morning. I don't know if it will do any good or not, but it's worth a shot. I also told them about the link to the Title Series web site to watch the video. Words just don't do the sport that we all love any justice. I encourage anyone who see's this post, and like's the idea to drop ESPN a line. They may be able to ignore one e-mail, but it will be harder to ignore many. If this sprot is going to take off and reach the popularity we all hope it does, this may be the oppertunity.

Josh , will you post the email address to espn... you are so right about this being our shot at getting the recongition we need to get the corporate dollars backing our teams and building a future for our sport,, think of what it would do to grass roots racing Apba,,AOF etc... Ive been feelin it for a while looking and searching for a conection to incorporate our racing into the corporate world I have been so facinated with the thought of competing against drivers from other countries, I watch the x games every year and we are totally right up there ally ,,,so every body please take the time to email ESPN and maybe some of the big WIG's on the TITLE SERIES committy could drop ESPNa line ..lets get something going here come on lets grow.....or at least plant some really cool seeds..12KenF

My brother has taken a photographer for the X games a couple times on the east coast. I'll give him a call and see if he knows anyone that might think this idea is a good one(besides us). Shawn Breisacher

Thank so much , Josh your post made it easy to get my message to the big ESPN.. I looked around this morn and had no luck ,but by following your lead ,took me right to it.... thanks again,, now for the rest of you some 287 racers who have already clicked on this post ,,,,,ihope you guys are emailing ESPN asking them to consider hdroplane racing as an X-Game event,, I followed Josh 's intructions and it was simple and easy only took 2 min. come on lets do this thing.... 12KenF who will be the next jeremy mcgrath of boat racing , jeff gordon, micheal schumacker,,, huh huh imagine a $65,000purse to the winner,, what about $1,000,000.00 its doable all we need to do is let them know we are here....

I know it sounds far fetched and it is a Huge Dream, but seriously I registered this morn into ESPN's chat room for summer Xgames and I heard a few Fans saying that last years Xgames were a lil bland,, so it may be a good time to hit the market. write Espn and give them your best cliff notes version of the exciting sport we all love....out
