In less than a month, the Indiana Outboard Association will be kicking off its season opener in Huntington Indiana. The Harry Brinkman Memorial Regatta will be hosted at Lake Claire, located just 25 miles southwest of Ft Wayne. The Harry Brinkman memorial regatta is one of the easiest race sites to get to no matter which direction you are coming from. Take I-69 to 24 West if you're coming from the North or take I-69 to 224 West if you're coming from the South. One added bonus is that hotels and amenities are located within a few miles of the course. If you'd rather stay in the pits than a hotel , camping in the grassy area to the west of the pits is only $10 per night.
This year we will host the following categories which are $30 per class per day. All J classes are only $15
-All mod classes
- C Service, C Race classes, an Antique B Hydro (Saturday only)
- All J classes
- 125cc, 175cc PRO Outboard classes
-A stock hydro, 20ss hydro, 300ss hydro, and C stock hydro
- Superlight Tunnels
Saturday will be the North American Championships for 400 mod hydro. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. Saturday will also include an antique boat show and Drivers Reunion Day. Saturday night we are hoping to have a pitch in where everyone brings a certain food to share.
There has been a new firestation that has been constructed in the old parking lot and the local firefighters are kind enough to be providing us with a concession stand on the same side of the lake as the pits. There will also be a concession stand over in the spectator area. We hope to see you all there!!
