We will have trophies for class winners, donated by Dudley Malone. $3,000. In tow money. We will spend $3,500 in advertising donated by the city of Grove and the Grand Lake Casino. After testing on Friday we will have a Band to kick the race off. We hope to have a race school Friday afternoon as well.

We know when we have found a All-Star, thanks. Dave Viola is Boat racing Flagman, none better.

We plan to give rides to candidates. You must be able to buy a race boat otherwise it's just a thrill ride.

Good news: Dave Mason will provide Dennis Burke a hydro. Dennis destroyed his boat at Clarksville.

Sorry. Ive seen some badly broken boats but that was the worst that made it back to shore.

Just returned from the drag boat races at Wolf Creek Park. They had 40 boats. Their trailers were huge, so they look bigger than our group. Their show was poor maybe boring.

The Monkres Family and I, would like to offer up $400 this year, in Mark's honor, to two lucky winners by the draw, to pay $200 for two places. Same rules apply as last year, so anyone can win it! This is CSH class.

Putting on a big event is allot of work. Ive driven 600 miles to get it up and running. Some decisions have to be made, some people will be happy others not so happy. Hind sight is 100%, we can always see where we went wrong or wasted time. You do the best you can and take advise from the wisest.

Looks like a small turn out, as some guys have to work. We promise a well run race with great support people. Heared a rumor that Ray Hunley is coming.

I certainly hope people support this race. The time and effort to put on a race like this with all the extra activities is not a small job. I for one am glad we have people like Leonard and Rick who work so hard to make boat racing successful.

I will be there for Sunday. I have to work on Saturday. My trailer will be there on Thursday with Steve doing some testing and he will race both days. I figured we would have a very good turnout judging by the turnout in Clarksville. I think we had more drivers in Clarksville than we have had at some nationals. And yes it is alot of work to put on these races and everyone should appreciate anyone that does it.

Thanks Larry and Keith. We are working to put on a great event. Party Saturday night should be good with the same people that catered the dinner last year doing it again this year. And remember we did not run out of food last year!!!! You all won't believe all the improvements made to the park, although it was not done for us, but for the bass boat guys. Still is very nice. Looking hot, but should be great racing
