  • Rigging a 7'X14' enclosed V nose for C hydro

Just picked up a trailer 7X14 V nose. Anyone have photos on how they rigged theirs up? Any and all help will be appreciated. I'm new this year.

This is 7x12 enclosed setup we just built for my c hydro. Its tight up front but you should be fine with a 7x14. Brackets can be removed in a few minutes once boat is unloaded so you can move freely in the trailer

Maybe you should switch to a runabout. It would fit a lot better. lol

This is what I'm currently rigging my trailer like... except I have 2 engines that swing out at the back and a work bench/tool chest/ bar fridge up front and solar on the roof to run it all.

You may be in trouble at Waterford. I have never seen the sunshine there for a whole weekend!

haha. We could be... it will be a learning curve I can run the fridge about 20 hours with zero sunlight.

What do you use for solar? That a awesome idea. I didn't know you could get a fridge that could run off solar..

It's just a regular bar fridge, but the most efficient one I could find, energy star rated. I have 350w panel and 165 AH of battery storage. Have small LED TV and LED lighting too. You just hook an inverter up to the battery bank and can run whatever you want at 110v AC until the batteries are drained. Again I got the most efficient inverter I could find. I tried many. I have a MPPT solar controller to try and max everything I can out of the sun. Of course if a cloudy day is expected you have to still run things sparing with my setup. But I didn't want to carry around a generator and run that all weekend. I can add another battery if needed in the future. If it's sunny I can run TV for couple hours for kids at night and have no worries about lighting and the fridge overnight. Google "RV solar system" or similar and you get lots of ideas.

If you re going to be hauling 2 boats, make a slightly more substantial boat cart and leave the bottom open and just wheel the bottom boat in and strap it down while on the cart. Make the second tier just high enough to clear the bottom boat. A lot less set up when you get to the race.

Thanks for the input Dan.. I got a barn door type trailer because it is more user friendly in the pits. I would need to get a separate ramp If I leave the boat on a cart .. Also,, I plan on setting it up for 3 boats as well. My brother is a builder and repair guy.. It would be nice to be able to haul wrecks home for repair..
someone mentioned a 14' RV awning on the side. I thought that was a awesome idea.
