  • Outboard hydroplane racing in Hawaii

I am in Honolulu for a while, and while I was helping with the unlimited races in Pearl Harbor in the 90's, somebody mentioning that there used to be closed course outboard racing in the area. There are several large lagoons that would be perfect for racing...sorta curious if anybody has any information about it. Thanx

I have heard of racing in Hawaii many years ago. A member of our local AOMC, bought an Anzani (Pro) from a neighbor who raced when he lived in Honolulu. Do not know any more than that.

        Dave,

An Anzani has pipes and runs on alcohol. That's why you are confused.
        Just trying to help.
