More sad news our good friend Phil McDaniel passed away yesterday. Funeral services will be Friday at Murrells Inlet S.C. We will really miss Phil, he was always a good friend and a big help to all racers.

Philip was a treasured friend. I will forever appreciate his hospitality when I would drop in to see him on my way south in the fall. My best 44" was built by him.

Very Sad to hear. Phil was a great guy. I bought a lot of parts from him over the last couple years. More than just boat racing and buying parts, he became a Sunday evening call to talk about how the days Nascar race went, and what I was going to do to my next motor. I just finished the one with a few of his little tips, and boy it ran well a week ago. Didn't get the chance to give him my report. Phil, RIP buddy.Comment
