Here are some more photos. This set has one of my favorites: the sheltered judges' stand which probably falls short of meeting modern day building code.

Burl , Great pics, nice to jar the old memories! We were there in 78 got 3rd in CMR and 2man Mod Runabout, and a 4th in DMR.
Brother Mike was in running in CMH until he broke a ring. Larry Honeyman loaned me Bob Goller's engine for the finals.
My folks became friends with a local couple, They brought us fresh drinking water each day and we enjoyed their
company for a few meals as well. We love Kingston.
Matt , I said the same thing when I saw the Yale boat, now I have a few questions. During this time frame there were a mess of Super C
Hydros, and a mix of builders, Bezoats, Simmons, Marchetti, Giles, and Yale here in the Northeast . That Yale in the pic Looks a bit longer
than the 11 foot minimum for the SCCH at the time, plus its got a Pro number on it, Who ran J3 during that time?
3 people, that come to mind would be John Yale, John Eichelsdorfer, and I don't remember what number Mr. O'Dea was running on his gear at the time.
Wayne, Might 75D be Bernie Gagnon from Yankee Power Boat Racing Association? Bernie rode with Honeyman to the 78 Nats but Larry couldn't keep him reined in, as he had found a girl friend while we were there.... Larry was making him get his rig ready to race, and during the hurry, Bernie knocked it over and punched holes in the bottom from the stand legs........,
We were pitted along side of Mike Doran, and as some know Mike's hydros were fiberglass.
He and a bunch of us jumped on this repair, and in no time it was ready to race.Don't laugh.....it's borrowed!!

There were so many guys running the mod runabouts back then and through the 80's. Weinert (sp), Pete of course, Randy, Obrien, Frolichs etc so many I know I have forgot. On the left coast there were quite a few of us as well but not like the guys back there. I forgot about the 2pmr as we called it that was always a fun class to run, then we would step up for the 1100r when needed until I went to 1100r years later. Thanks for the pics and good memories

I have a few more good photos to review. One photo has the 44-Z that my friend Danny Piggott said was his number back then just as it is today.

Pic # 4 my Butts DMH in tech, 38 M I think is one of Mason's boats 7 M Vick Brinkman ?
-
Pic #5 Red black and white trailer is Fred Miller's . I think this was the late Kidd Smith's trailer. he was killed at a race in La. in the mid 70's. D. Malone would know for sure. I still have a F E Merc. that was Kidd's.

Pic 1 is my Dad Lyle Mason and I think he is talking to Tom moulder ? Last pic is Dad working on that smoking fast 25MH.
I can recal most of the folks in all of these phots, by face, but not names except the many we traveled with all the time. I grew up having more birthdays in Kingston, and Soddy Daisey, and a lot of TN than I did at home ! A lot of the folks pictured here are like family to us.

Here is the final set. I believe the racer in 6-K is in three of these.
Thanks for helping to ID these racers from the past. It's been fun to see that so many of these guys (and gals) are remembered.
