  • Jacksboro, TX Tow Money and Hotel Info.

Tow money deposited in the bank is now up to $9000.00 . I was at the lake last week and the water level and ramp are both perfect.

    Hotel info:
    Quality Suites
    2302 10th Street
    Bridgeport, TX 76426
    940-683-5777

Block rate is $74 per night for either double queen or king. All rooms have a fold out sleeper-sofa so the double queen rooms actually sleep six and the king sleeps four. A first and last name is required to block the rooms so they are listed in my name. Refer to Dennis Crews / NBRA when booking. Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Here is the latest info on the race at Jacksboro, TX.

          Bigger in Texas!

That’s right everything is bigger in Texas, specifically tow money! I have just received confirmation that the Lone Star Outboard Racing Association will be giving out $9,000.00 in tow money. I can guarantee that every penny will be going to the trailers that show up! In addition to this awesome amount LSORA will also be doing two Dash for Cash races each worth $200. The format for these races is still to be determined so stayed tuned! We are putting the final touches on this event and I hope that everyone can attend.
          I’m also proud to announce that Charlie Gonyea will be our Referee for the event with Dennis Burke doing Pit Boss duties and Assistant Referee. The class fees are as follows;
          First class - $25.00
Each class after your first is $15.00.
The race course will be set up Friday morning and testing to start by 12:00 noon and going until 5:00 pm. Friday testing will be insured. Racing will start at 12:00 noon on Saturday and Sunday. On behalf of the Lone Star Outboard Racing Association I would like to thank everyone for planning the trip to Texas and for your support of our club.

The address for the park is:
          1114 Hwy. 59 Jacksboro, TX 76458

          Respectfully,
          Gardner Miller

Really bummed to say that I won't be able to make this one.. Work schedule is just too tight for me to swing it.

Seems Centralia was my last outing of the race season this year.

I'm planning on making my first trip to Jacksboro, we are looking forward to it. Planning on running DRunabout, ERunabout, and if there are not enough ERunabouts I may run EHydro

We are working hard to make the race. We have to rebuild our C Mod motors that got too hot at the Natls. I'm putting a new transom in the C mod boat as well. Braxton plays football till 1030 Friday night. Racing is just a all night drive.

What do you need electricity for? If it is for your motorhome then you need to contact me to reserve an RV spot @ $10/night to have electric and water hook up. If you just need it for your pit area then, no it will not be provided, you will need to either bring your own generator or borrow one.

We plan to run C mod. Runabout, as Joe John will bring out his stable of boats. If you want to run this class be at Jacksboro.
