Our sponsor has set the lofty goal of $9000.00 and the commitment has been proven by the $3500.00 already in the bank with additional weekly installments scheduled until the race date. There is one restriction on the money however and it is that every penny is paid to the racers. We agreed to this as quickly as we could say the word YES.
Those that raced with us in Jacksboro in 2013 know the lake level was down considerably at that time making the launch ramp a bit more challenging than we would have liked. That will be a problem no more. The city has added truckloads of material to the ramp and thanks to a very wet winter and spring the lake is now cresting over the spillway. I tested there recently and the ramp is now greatly improved.
We will have testing all day Friday and the holiday the following Monday can be used as an additional travel day or for R&R before going back to work. We will share more details as the race date approaches.
