Helmet safety question

I've been in the market for a new helmet for a while. Some of the neat equipment coming out of Europe is not Snell approved.
It is listed as ECE/22.05. From what I can gather that is like a European Snell rating.

Does anyone know if it's a legal rating for APBA? I looked at the rules on the APBA web site and the set I couldn't find anything on the Euro standard.

ECE rating is not legal for U.S.T.S., I just went through the same problem ordering a new helmet for my son. I spoke with Tom Cronk on this matter. Now idk about the other series what there requirements are? Also if you buy a helmet that is ECE approved it will not come with that sticker on the helmet because it is sold in the U.S. it will only come with a DOT sticker. Hope this helps?
