  • New with lots of ???

Just found this site and have some questions. I am an outboard drag racer (20ft Allison with a Merc 300 Drag) so this is a little different to me. I have seen these boats and wanted on for awhile and just found this website. Looks like there are a lot of races near me. Can you break down the classes for me and what kinda power for each class? Top speed for each class? Basically the basics of equipment for this kinda racing. Thanks

      Wow huge question

Best thing to say is where do you live? State and city. Then we can get you a ride and someone to talk to.

Classes are by CI or CC's

Smallest classes go 45mph in a 9ft boat and fastest go 95mph on 13-14 foot boats.

        location

located in Western Arkansas, and I saw that there were a lot of races in Oklahoma and they had one 30 miles from me in Arkansas in Sept. Was interested in a class that would run some type of Mercury production motor or modified motor, not really looking at the sst classses but more of the smaller hydroplane's Thanks

You've come to the right place.

Are you wanting to buy a boat and motor before the racing start next year?

(Trying my best to imitate Roy D. Mercer.... ) How big a boy er ya?

If you can drive one of them hooker boats you should be able to drive anything!
            ...

OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

              hooker

hooker boat, you've been around an Allison! Yeah, I was looking at getting into it for next year, just dont know what class, size, etc... I need. And in the words off R.D., I aint that big a boy, usually have to add weight to make the races. I will give you a call when I get back into town tomorrow or Friday, Thanks
