            Looks like fir plywood so my guess is homemade. Maybe out of plans from Popular Science or some other magazine, could be an attempt at a Hal Kelly Wetback. Anyhow, probably not built by one of the known builders of that era.

              Kelly would be embarrassed if it was, not correct cowl or deck curve transition from sponson top edge to non trip top edge for a Wetback. Yes Fir ply yuck! Weren't early Swifts made with Fir ply?
