As an extra incentive for racing at Millville, Ray Hastings and Phil Doerle will award a free entry to a winning driver, by drawing, at Saturday's dinner. There will be one drawing each for Saturday and Sunday. Each winner will receive $30.00. Prizes distributed at Sunday's drivers meeting. Tickets will be passe out at Saturday's driver's meeting. A little rain in the morning tomorrow. Then clear skies for the rest of the weekend. Look forward to seeing everyone there for Region 3's season wrap up.

Despite some heavy rain on Saturday morning, we were able to get up and running and get things done for the most part. A big thank you to those that attended our final race of the season.

A couple of notes: We had a couple of new guys in boats this weekend which was excellent to see. Please find time to help these new people as we need new drivers, not just in our region, but everywhere.

The New Jersey bill that prohibited drivers younger than 16 years old from racing is in process of being amended to lower the age to 13. It's not what we had hoped for but we will take it. Scott Glossner has been pursuing this and deserves some recognition for moving it along in our notoriously slow government.

We will be having a DVORA meeting this Sunday immediately following the Region 3 meeting being held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, located in Tabernacle, NJ at 1pm. Please try to attend if you are able.

Lastly, to all of you that told me that the Eagles were going to lose last night (mainly Scott Reed, Ryan/John Runne and Luis Garcia), all I have to say is 27 to ZERO.

Thanks again for getting it all in...........at least Sunday was perfect weather. Team Mel had a blast. Mel traveled over 650 miles to attend from South Carolina!!
